Born in the city, Yeudi spent his early years in Far Rockaway, where the water was always minutes away. With Rockaway beaches notorious for their rocky waters and dangerous currents, Yeudi's parents knew the necessity of his learning how to swim. At the age of 15, Yeudi joined his high school swim team at Far Rockaway High as a sophomore and at 16, he became a Lifeguard for the City of New York. Yeudi now swims competitively for CUNY York College, where he continues to find daily joy in the water.
