Growing up in the warm waters of the Dominican Republic, Ydalmi (known as Sunny!) has always had an eager, loving passion for the water. Ydalmi and her cousins would make daily trips to the river just two-minutes from their home, where they would enjoy their afternoons swimming and fishing. After moving to New York City, Ydalmi began her formal aquatic education, beginning with lifeguard courses, which soon led to a desire to teach kids how to swim. Her experiences in and around water have always been full of fun, so she's intent on installing those same joyful memories in the children she teaches. Ydalmi is a Biomedical Sciences major at Hunter College, aspiring towards a career as a Physician Assistant.
