Vincent Lucas hails from nearby Mount Vernon, NY. His aquatic journey began at the age of nine when he taught himself to float in Jamaica. The excitement from that first self-taught lesson led Vincent to beg his mom to enroll him in swim classes. After he was signed up for lessons, he remembers his mind being blown as he witnessed his instructor's effortless, smooth style in the water. Vincent went on to Salem International University, where he played Water Polo and graduated with his bachelors degree in Business Management. Outside the pool, he enjoys being an artist, with a passion for drawing, painting, writing poetry and playing basketball (also an art!). A long term career goal is to be a creative director for his own clothing brand company. As an instructor, he strives to give children a experience they’ll never forget, instill a passion for swimming, just as his instructor did for him as a kid.
