Taylor was born in The Bahamas and learned to swim at the age of three in her backyard pool. At the age of five she joined her first team - called Swift Swimming, where she perfected her stroke technique. Being from the Caribbean, Taylor's love for the water was always a way of life, with frequent trips to the beach with her father, where they both enjoyed fishing. Taylor's mother, Jane, is a longtime Senior Instructor with Imagine, and leads our Parent & Me program. After watching her teach - as well as teach our teachers - Taylor has followed in her mother's footsteps. She graduated from the Professional Performing Arts High School in 2015 and is currently attending college at Rutgers University. She is also a passionate, aspiring dancer that studied at Alvin Ailey and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
