Teacher
Georgie was born and raised in East Harlem, where he learned to swim at eight-years-old at the Boys & Girls Harbor just a few steps away from his childhood home. Georgie always loved the water and he started to swim competitively at the age of eleven with the Boys & Girls Harbor Seals. As his commitment grew, he then joined the Metro Boys & Girls Club of New York Piranhas. Through swimming he had the opportunity to travel the country, competing in national competitions, with butterfly and freestyle being his best strokes. When he was eighteen, Georgie put his competitive experience to use an instructor. He has taught students of all ages for a variety of non-profit organizations such as the Boys & Girls Harbor, The Boys Club of New York, and Asphalt Green. In addition to teaching, Georgie has also served as an assistant coach for multiple swim teams.
