Danny was born on New Years Day 1994 in Taipei, Taiwan. His family emigrated to the States when he was a boy and he was raised in Queens. Growing up, Danny joined the Boy Scouts at the age of ten and went on to earn over 30 merit badges. In 2012, he achieved the Scouts of America's highest rank of Eagle Scout. He notes that his proudest moment as a swimmer came in the summer of 2011 at Camp Keowa, in upstate New York, when he became the first Asian to break their mile swim record. Danny is currently majoring in Electrical Engineering at NYU.
