Growing up in the gorgeous islands of the Bahamas, Athina taught herself to swim by observing her Aunt Jane at competitions. At the age of eight, she joined her first swim team and swam at local Caribbean competitions. After her family moved to New York, Athina went on to Lehman College, where she earned her Bachelors in English Literature. In her spare time, she enjoys a vast variety of music, writing and participating in Karate tournaments all around the city. In the summer of 2015, she joined 'Aunt Jane' - long one of our most beloved teachers - as an instructor with the Imagine family.
